The 19-year-old high school student from Virginia, US used an incredible amount of strength to lift a GMC pick-up, which weighs tons, long enough for her father to crawl out under. The dad was working on the truck when one of the jacks slipped out from under the car and leaking gas caused the fire. It pinned him under the car and almost lead to his demise but luckily his daughter was there to save him. Charlotte Heffelmire was the hero of the day, after she freed her father, moved the truck away from the house, then used a garden hose to try and put out the fire. Her reflexes allowed her baby niece and grandmother to get out of the home. In recognition of her heroism on November 28, 2015, she was presented with the Citizen Lifesaving Award by the Fairfax County fire department.
